The HHOA Community Fish hatchery is a not for profit organization, run by Volunteers, and always hoping for Donations or Sponsors. Unfortunately, we still have to pay the bills.
We rent our hall for quite reasonable prices, and run some other fundraising activities throughout the year. This earns us some operating capital, but never quite enough.
In order to cover our costs, we have begun selling Rainbow Trout for use in stocking private lakes or ponds.
They can be susceptible to problems if the water temperature is too high. We recommend your water be between 5 & 15 degrees C. for the best health of the fish.
Once they are about 1 year old, usually around the beginning of May, and around 6-8” in length, they go up for sale. (Based on Market Prices)
In the fall, at about 18 months old, and around 10-14”, we might have a few available for an appropriately higher price. (Based on Market Prices) Contact us in September for pricing and availability if you prefer to stock your pond in the fall.
We require a 25% down payment to Reserve your Rainbow Trout. Place your order and we will contact you to verify the payment has been received. Balance due on Pickup.
Be aware there is No Warranty, either Expressed or Implied once these fish have left Hatchery Property.
